Puch Grand Prix
BY Spacker
BIKES | September 13, 2001

My first Bike in 1980, a second hand Orange and Black Puch Grand Prix (although I really wanted the Grand Prix S).

Lovely fast little 'ped with drum brakes, pedals and no battery (or brake lights).

I learnt how to wobble on this bike and how to crash; I learnt how to fall off within minutes of owning it by braking hard whilst going downhill on gravel. I've practice falling off bikes ever since.

Its Massively optimistic speedo claimed to do about 60mph downhill.

It's sat in a shed with some hessian sacks slung over it where it's been parked for the last 20 years. Sleeping if you like.

Unfortunately someone took the spark plug out 'kin years ago so it's probably dead and won't run ever again

Fantastic little ped, it was much faster than any shitty AP50.
