TS250C

BIKES | September 13, 2001

My first bike, back in 1978, was a TS185C. It's still in bits in the garage.

When Andy Wegg pointed out an advert for a 250 of similar vintage, my mind was made up in 5 minutes.

It's got no power, no brakes, and no handling, and I like it a lot.

At first it was a bit clogged, so wouldn't do more than 50, but it will hit 70 now, even with me on board.

Getting used to 7" sls drums will take time, I reckon, especially when combined with trail tyres.

The mirrors have been removed, as they were totally useless, due to vibration.

It's a project, but bits are easily obtainable, from Spares Direct, in Harlseden.

Fun for the summer, I reckon.
