Bought for all weather/commuting action, and they rock for that purpose. Annoyingly, no waterproofs I’ve seen allow enough leg clearance to go over the top of them without loads of hassle, but even putting them on over waterproofs seems fine, so good is the seal between boot and leg. Impact wise they utterly rock, and if "driver re-education" is your thing then all I can say is get some; car body panels can be severely modified with one judicious boot. On the downside, they are heavy, uncomfortable for walking around in off the bike, and mobility sucks, so gear changes and rear braking are a bit hit and miss, but that’s hardly the boot’s fault, as they’re not designed for racing … recommended, but make sure you try before you buy to see if you can get on with them.
