My glove choice is somewhat limited by my preferences: I don't like winter gloves, and I don't like hard armoured knuckles.
So, last time I needed gloves, I bought these Alpinestars pretty much on spec and on fit. I've had them two years, I think, and I love them. They fit my hands perfectly, and they're well made. They are very supple and they give lots of feel; so much so that I can tie a shoelace with them on (carefully, I'll grant you).
They're looking a little old now, and they've a little hole between the second and third finger of the left hand, after a bloke at work with hands like shovels borrowed them for twenty minutes. Still, I've given them the Renapur treatment, and that's spruced them up nicely.
I was idly wondering whether I ought to buy a new pair of gloves, and having had a cursory look round a few bikes shops, and a nose around the web, I think it's likely that I'll get the same again.
