| Images | If you want pictures embedded on the same page as your copy, then make them JPEGs, no more than, oh, 50Kb in size, and exactly 440 pixels wide. And with a sensible aspect ratio, cheers. If you want pictures a bit bigger than that, which will be displayed in their own window, then again they should be JPEGs, but I'll let you away with maybe 75-80Kb, and it'd be really nice if you could provide matching thumbnails. If you are clued up enough to do this, make them nice little JPEGs, maybe 5-10Kb in size, and less than 150 pixels wide. Also, and this would be really cool, make them the same name as the big picture they match, except with "_thumb" in the filename just before the extension. i.e. my_kneedown.jpg &
my_kneedown_thumb.jpg If you can do this, then your submission will get priority handling. |
| Homepage Thumbnails | If you'd like your contribution to appear as a "featured item" in the left hand column of ukrm.info's homepage, then you'll also need to send me a thumbnail for that - these should be JPEGs or GIFs, less than 15Kb in size, and exactly 167 pixels wide and 75 pixels high. |
