Rub the zip all over with a pencil lead.

4.14: Customised paint jobs on helmets

Try Spanni on 0118 9427174 (Reading). He does a fantastic job at a reasonable price.

He paints tanks etc as well.

4.15: Protecting paintwork from soft luggage

Try the smooth side of sticky backed velcro or draper tool rubber, normally used to line tool boxes.

Tank scratches & wear - Velcro over jacket press-studs etc helps prevent scratching. Use both parts of velcro and stick a cloth to the back of the outer most part so you can polish your tank while riding.

PVC insulation tape on the tank between the tank and the seat. So many secondhand bikes have worn paint on the tank where the seat has rubbed against it.

Based in Leamington Spa.

Mike Gleavy says, "Brilliant service, good kit, everything is designed for kids and, best of all, once you've bought from them, you get up to 40% back if you part exchange there as they grow up. This also means that they have secondhand clothes (only leathers when we were there, no cordura) which is what we bought for Nick. Good folks, thoroughly recommend them."
