Daytona Highway waterproof boot
BY Wessie
kit | November 19, 2001

I bought these in 1996 when I went from a fully faired VFR750 to a TDM850 as I got fed up with getting my feet wet. They were recommended by Ride magazine and cost £160 from Fowlers in Bristol.

Even on a 500 mile rain soaked trip from Fort William to Herefordshire (spread over 2 days) my feet remained dry and warm.

After 5 years of use they are still in good condition. The soles are the only parts showing wear.

I have only two minor criticisms: they have a fleece lining which makes them too warm for summer trips to the south of France and the Goretex welly makes tucking your leathers inside uncomfortable (my leather jeans easily fit over the outside).

The Highway boot is no longer available. Looking at the M&P catalogue the Daytona Non Stop is similar at £150 or you have a leather lined version with sealed gussets for £200.

Recommended.
