RST Race Star gloves
BY Verdigris
kit | November 6, 2001

These are summer gloves; thin, unlined leather with ventilated fingers.  I bought them primarily because they were a good fit; I was tired of having gloves with fingers that were a little too long, so when I found a pair which fit perfectly I was happy to cough up £60 for them.

The construction appears good, although they haven't received the ultimate test yet.  Carbon/kevlar bits over the knuckles; extra leather as well.  Palm is mostly plain suede leather but with a padded, kevlar heel.  No metal studs.
There is a wrist strap and a larger strap for the forearm, with a good, long cuff.  Unlike many gloves I've come across these are well designed so that there's actually enough velcro to get them secure without having straps flapping about.

They're comfortable, feel very secure and so far I can't fault them.

I got mine from M&P but they're widely available elsewhere.
