The BONE (Bikers Of the North East) run.

From the producers of "UKRM End-Of-Summer-Meet" and "TheBOTAFOT"

The BONE run, organised by AndrewR and Eddie, is a Sunday morning bimble around some of the finest roads that the North of England has to offer.

Typical destinations are Barnard Castle or Rothbury, but there have been trip to Ripon, Devil's Bridge and (we promise) we'll head up toScotland one weekend.

A typical Sunday run starts at 9am (yes, really, 9 o'clock in the morning) and finishes, 120 miles or so later, at about noon with a brunch stop stuck in somewhere.

The run differs from the BOTAFOT in that the route isn't fixed, indeed it is often decided on the morning of the run, and we do tend to avoid the most popular bike routes in the area, but still finding some great routes.

Most of the organising is done off group, using a mailing list run by Eddie. If you're interested in subscribing to this list then send an e-mail to:

majordomo@deguello.org

With "subscribe bone" in the body of the e-mail (without the quotes).

You can post to the list, even if you're not a subscriber, using the address;

bone@deguello.org

Or you can e-mail me personally at;

Andrew@rockface.freeserve.co.uk

Our meeting point is generally somewhere around Prudhoe (because that's where Eddie and I live);

The Multimap reference is Here

However, depending on our likely destination, we're happy to meet people elsewhere en route.

At the moment the majority of the group are non-ukrmers, so don't be worried about turning up if you're a low-volume poster, newbie or lurker; you're still welcome.

The pace of the group varies wildly, but Eddie and I are the fastest riders who regularly come along, so you're unlikely to have that many problems keeping up :-)
